I am a communication designer from Espinho, where the wind rarely takes a day off. Trust me, it builds resilience. Battling 35 km/h gusts with a doomed umbrella while your hair whips across your face is no small feat. The sight of disheveled faces entering a safe space, sharing glances of mutual relief, says it all. But you learn to pull through.

Speaking of learning, I started by exploring less creative fields before committing to the arts. In high school, I initially pursued Sciences and Technology, drawn by my rational, nature-loving side and an endless curiosity for the "why" behind things. But that path was short-lived. In my first—and only—year, my need for an expressive outlet grew too strong to ignore. I decided to start over and go back a year, going after what I felt was missing. Years later, I earned a BA in Communication Design from FBAUP. The rest is history, except not.

Although I love to create beautiful designs, I never stopped searching for the meaning behind it all. This curiosity led me to the world of UX, where I discovered the joy and complexity of problem-solving and enhancing human experiences.

Starting over and pushing through challenges is nothing new to me. Which is why, since graduating in 2019 and working at different design studios like BRAVA and VOLTA STUDIO, here I am again, rocking the boat in the search for a more fulfilling path in UX/UI – where I can merge my visual design skills with my curiosity and a deep desire to understand and improve people's experiences through functional design.
